Kathy Ginther resides in rural Taylor, Wisconsin with her husband, Dean, and five of her ten children. Kathy grew up watching her mother braid traditional rag rugs. It was the simple beauty of those early creations that served as the inspiration for her now nearly ten year braiding career.  Kathy especially likes to challenge herself by taking the basic braided look and infusing updated designs, styles and techniques to create fresh new perspectives.  Mrs. Ginther also does commission work for a Midwest rug designer. In her free time you may find Kathy sewing, tending to her gardens, or canning and preserving her home-grown fruits and vegetables.
